About Lisa
Lisa Santhana, L.Ac.
NCCAOM Board-Certified Acupuncturist | Orthopedic Specialist
Lisa Santhana, L.Ac. is an NCCAOM Board-Certified Acupuncturist who has dedicated her clinical career to the mastery of Orthopedic Acupuncture, providing a sophisticated bridge between traditional Eastern medicine and modern musculoskeletal science. She earned her Master’s in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2018 and was uniquely selected to intern at Boston Medical Center for three consecutive semesters. This rigorous foundation in integrative patient care allowed her to develop a results-driven approach that treats the body as an interconnected system rather than a collection of isolated symptoms.
While Lisa possesses extensive experience across various acupuncture modalities, her primary clinical focus is the treatment of complex musculoskeletal pain, rehabilitation, and surgery avoidance. She has refined a signature protocol that integrates advanced needling techniques with functional movement therapy and evidence-based Western modalities to create personalized, multidisciplinary treatment plans. Her work is centered on restoring structural integrity and promoting long-term physical resilience for patients who are seeking non-invasive solutions to chronic or acute pain.
Lisa’s dedication to the healing arts is informed by a global perspective and a commitment to whole-body wellness. She studied yoga and meditation at the prestigious SVYASA Institute in Singapore and traveled extensively through Southeast Asia to deepen her understanding of authentic Asian healing traditions. Her diverse clinical background also includes specializing in Fertility Acupuncture at VIBE Wellness in Boston, where she supported the success of numerous “Acupuncture babies.” Additionally, Lisa holds a Certificate in Functional Nutrition from Mind Body Green, where she collaborated with leading experts such as Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Casey Means to better understand the role of systemic inflammation in physical recovery. Today, Lisa leverages this multifaceted expertise to help her patients achieve optimal healing and a return to peak physical performance.
