Your First Orthopedic Massage Appointment in Boston or Melrose
Your first visit starts with a conversation about your goals, areas of muscular tension, health history and comfort. At Morando Manual Orthopedic, Sal adapts the bodywork and pressure to you and the time you reserve. Sessions may include orthopedic massage, Myoskeletal Alignment Technique and myofascial approaches.

Appointments are available for 30, 60 and 90 minutes. Prices differ between Boston and Melrose, so review the current rates before booking. The session is planned around your conversation with Sal and the time you reserve.
Talk about what you want to address
Share your goals and the areas you would like Sal to focus on. These may relate to desk work, athletic activity or everyday movement. Let Sal know about health concerns and medications before the session, and discuss any questions about whether massage is appropriate before booking.
If you are recovering from an injury or surgery, check with your healthcare professional before scheduling. Review the FAQs for the practice's policies and preparation information.
Settle in comfortably
Sessions take place in a private room on a massage table. Sal leaves the room while you change and cover yourself with a clean sheet. You remain properly draped during the session, with only the area being worked on exposed. If you prefer to keep clothing on, discuss your comfort and clothing options with Sal.
Speak up during your session
Techniques and pressure are adapted to your comfort. Tell Sal if you would like the pressure or approach adjusted. You can learn more about orthopedic massage and Myoskeletal Alignment Technique on the Services page.
After your appointment
People respond differently to massage. Tell Sal how you feel during and after the session so you can discuss adjustments. Massage does not diagnose or cure medical conditions, and results vary. It is not a substitute for medical evaluation or treatment.
